Alexandra Eppes - PhD Student
Gabriella Daunarummo (she/her/hers) - Graduate Research Assistant
Gaby is from Bayonne, New Jersey and is a second year MA student at KU’s Intercampus Program in Communicative Disorders. Gaby enjoys working with adults with acquired language disorders, cognitive communication disorders, and swallowing disorders. She would like to work in an inpatient rehab or acute care setting and is hoping to expand her language skills in Spanish to provide best practice bilingual services as a speech-language pathologist.
Grace Buckalew - Graduate Research Assistant
Grace is from Wilmington, Delaware and is a second year MA/PhD student in Speech Language Pathology and Communicative Disorders at KU. Grace really enjoys working with clients with language disorders and who are users of AAC. She hopes to be an SLP in an elementary school
Ana Astoquilca - Graduate Research Assistant
Ana Astoquilca is a first year speech language pathology graduate student. She was born and raised in Peru and is currently residing in Kansas City. She enjoys going to concerts and learning more and more about her field.
Kate (Boley) Vierra - Graduate Research Assistant
Graduate Research Assistant Kate was born in England, but grew up at Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. She completed undergraduate degrees in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences and Spanish at the University of Missouri, and will graduate from the MA-SLP program at KU in May. Kate is interested in autism, bilingual language development, and AAC, and hopes to work in early intervention upon graduation.
Nathalie Kaoumi
Lead Coder and Transcriber Nathalie is a graduate of Chapman University's Marriage and Family Therapy master's program. Though her career is not in the realm of speech-language pathology, her love of linguistics and bilingual language development has kept her at the BLL for over three years! She hopes to use her cultural and communicative understanding of bilingual Hispanic Americans to better serve members of that population navigating mental health concerns in the Southern California area.
Fabrizio Falcon - Research Assistant
I am majoring in computer science. I love learning languages. I like doing sports and meeting new people.
Nicolle Guillen - Research Assistant
Nicolle is an international student from Honduras, double majoring in Behavioral Neuroscience and Human Biology with a concentration in Biology. Her goal is to one day work in the research field, focusing on human relationships, mental disorders, and perception.
Alysia Martinez- Research Assistant
Alysia is a psychology student interested in the neurological aspects of language and psychological disorders. Her other interests include foreign languages, secondary language acquisition, and language death prevention. She hopes to study clinical psychology or neuroscience in graduate school, and to work in a hospital after graduating.
